More benefits with less work...? Follow these best practice guidelines.
 
In an ideal world, all correspondence with families would be simple. Answered in a timely manner. The reality? Families are busy, they're juggling multiple things and often have many balls in the air simultaneously. The benefit of contacting a family through Vacancy.care is that a record of every contact is stored within the family's profile - making it easy to access to all historical conversations at any time.

Accessed from the dashboard, select Families from the menu and search for the family you wish to contact.

Click on the parent to open their profile. Select the envelope icon from the pop-up to compose an email and send it directly. The email address will automatically populate with the address stored in the family's profile (you can choose to override this address if needed). The option to CC or BCC is also available. 

Type your message manually, or select from one of many saved template responses. See Email templates within CRM or Create custom email templates for further information.

**TIP - Choose to set yourself a task to follow up on the correspondence at a future date so it doesn't slip through the cracks. See the My Open Tasks panel on the desktop for this.
