Best practices > setting up the waitlist form

Want to get the most out of Vacancy.care?
More benefits with less work...? Follow these best practice guidelines.

Set-up your waitlist form so that it matches the requirements of your service. This way, when families choose to add themselves to your waitlist via your service website, or through the family portal, they're only selecting options you are offering. The waitlist form is offered as a website plug-in.

Accessed via the Main menu > Manage web forms > Waitlist form
From the right-hand side of the screen you'll see an Actions dropdown menu, choose edit then follow the guidance to drag-and-drop, creating a bespoke waitlist form for your service. Hit save when the form is complete.

TIP/ ensure you mark any essential field in the form as required (a tickbox option) - this will then be denoted as important to families completing the form, with a red asterisk.

From the Actions dropdown menu, you can also choose to mark your form as active/inactive, or select Publish & share to access coding to embed the form (known as a website plug-in) onto your service website, so families searching for care can add themselves to your waitlist directly from your website.

If you need assistance with embedding the waitlist form, please get in touch via email - support@vacancy.care or call 02 8004 5592.
